A True Story of Faith & Joy
The true story of Stephen "Beetle" Bailey—a prankster, a believer, and a man who faced death with unshakable joy. This isn't just a book. It's an invitation to live fully, love deeply, and trust God in every moment.

For Dana Morrison, that call came in 2023. His lifelong friend, Beetle—a man who turned pranks into ministry and suffering into worship—was diagnosed with stage four cancer.
This isn't just a story about dying. It's about how to live: with laughter, faith, and no regrets.
The Book
Embrace joy in the hardest moments
Serve others with Beetle's signature humor and heart
Anchor your life in Christ, no matter what comes
The book chronicles Beetle's extraordinary life—from wild teenage pranks and adventures at a youth camp to the tender final moments of his battle with terminal cancer. The story unfolds like a stage play, with Dana serving as both narrator and character, structured in acts that reflect Beetle's transformation from a mischievous boy into a man of deep conviction who faced loss and suffering with courage and laughter.
But this book is more than nostalgia or biography. It is a spiritual encouragement. Woven throughout are insights into God's purpose for our lives, reminders of His faithfulness, and the call to finish life's race well. Beetle's humor was not simply entertaining—it was healing. His life radiated the truth of Proverbs 17:22: "A cheerful heart is good medicine."
Perfect for book clubs, small groups, or anyone who needs a reminder that life is worth living—and finishing—well.

About the Author
Dana is a determined and faith-driven individual with a lifelong passion for running and physical fitness. To celebrate his 50th birthday, he set a bold personal goal—to run 50 miles. Just weeks after achieving this milestone, his life was unexpectedly shaken by a series of health challenges, including a debilitating back condition that required major surgery.
Amid these trials, Dana received a heartbreaking call: his lifelong best friend, Beetle, had been diagnosed with stage four cancer and given only days to live. Dana found himself in a new kind of race—standing beside his best friend during his final days and helping him finish life's journey with dignity, faith, love, and community.
Since 2010, Dana has embraced journaling as a spiritual practice, alongside his commitment to prayer and Bible study. After decades in the Information Technology field, Dana discovered a new calling: writing. With encouragement from his sister Anita and inspiration from Mary Ellen, a close family friend, he penned his first book—The Beetle Experience, a tribute to friendship, faith, and finishing well.
